Dear New Mom,

momsNbabies.com has been set up for a very specific reason.   Back in 1996, during my first pregnancy and after having my son Vasilis,  I realized how much easier things would have been for me,  if I knew then what  I learned on my own, the hard way.

I practically went through both my pregnancies alone, and had to raise my babies without any help from anyone, being a working mother at the same time – an entrepreneur- and having the ethical responsibility of attending diligently the three kids from my husband’s first marriage, who were then going through the windy and wavy period of adolescence.

I can recall my stress and agony about being a good mother to my baby, feeling I was pending in open air knowing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about taking care of my newborn when the time would come.  I had visited a Maternity Store when I was still in my sixth month of pregnancy, and I was so frustrated when they told me that the next scheduled workshop for “changing a baby’s diaper” was in one month !   I got panicked thinking to myself :  “what if the baby comes prematurely next month?  what if I can’t manage to understand how to change the diaper?  how shall I hold him?  how shall I breastfeed him ? “  For days and nights till the books I had ordered  – no much INTERNET in our lives then, INTERNET was a baby as well-  arrived, I was literally a lost soul.

And when the books came, it took me ages to find EXACTLY the practical tips and points I needed to apply in real time.  So I learned mostly by experience,  with “trial and error” and  realized how many other new moms were possibly going through the same torture as I did.  So a few years later, especially after my daughter came in July 2000,  and this time everything was a “piece of cake” for me, I decided to find a way to create a COURSE and teach to New Moms what I found out the hard way.

This E-COURSE is ready now.  No fluff, no fillers, no useless info overload.  Just the plain valuable applicable info you need on a day to day basis  making your life and your baby’s life easier.

And because of the fact that I raised my children ALONE, this E-COURSE is dedicated to the women who take care of their babies  alone for a vast variety of reasons.   My personal bet is to take away all the hassle and frustration from your upcoming “motherhood” and leave for you all the joy and magnificence of life’s miracle to dive in and let every pore of your existence get permeated.

I remember how prominent was the impact of a conversation I had with an Italian Associate and family friend, who had joined my husband and me during the Summer of 1996 having her two years old son with her.  She explained to me things I had no idea about, and my own mother was not in a position to advise me thoroughly.  Thanks to Luisa and her kind initiative to send me the LECHE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL Book about the “Art of Breastfeeding”  -  “L’ Arte Dell’ Allatamento Materno”-  two amazing things happened :  I learned how to breastfeed my son , and I learned Italian 

I don’t want to “eat” more of your time with my personal stories, as I know that what you need is mainly a technical, a “how to” E-Course.  But you’ll see that although I kept the content “to the point”, there are many examples and real life stories in it that will help you remember things better by associating the knowledge with the emotions triggered by the stories.

And now it’s about time to reveal to you  my ulterior motive about creating this E-Course.  My dream of having one more child may or may not come true,   so I created this website,  in an attempt to “steal” some of your happiness  sneaking into your life and sharing with you the glorious days of sweet expectancy and  the  marvelous joy of  nurturing a baby which is one of the purest expressions of love.

All my work is offered to you right from my heart, along with my best wishes and is dedicated to my treasured children Vasilis and Ioulia-Nefeli and to my adorable Man – thank you my Angel- ,  for continuously being sources of energy and inspiration to me.
